Rant of the day December 4th 2024 lets blog this one.

 

I’ve decided that not participating in gossip means I won’t engage with it at all—not even to address the lies spread about me. If I hear something untrue, I don’t waste time or energy trying to correct anyone unless they ask me directly. People will say what they want, and others will believe what they choose. I can’t control that, so I don’t let it bother me. Those who truly know me will understand the truth, and eventually, the truth has a way of revealing itself. My focus is on staying authentic.

This mindset may go against the grain, but honestly, who cares about the norm? I’m proudly the opposite of a people pleaser. I refuse to dim my shine for anyone anymore. Yes, I’m "too much" for some people—I know that—but I am unapologetically me.

I got tired of being continually put down, constantly made to feel like I wasn’t capable of anything. But the truth is, I’m incredibly capable and skilled at so many things. It’s heartbreaking how easily we can forget our own abilities when we’re weighed down by negativity.
