Things I learned the hard way lesson #1
Always have the courage to go after what your heart desires. Do not let fear or insecurities block you. If you go after it and don't get it, nothing changes. But if you get it, it might bring you contentment and joy. Who knows? You never know until you try. A valuable lesson I learned was: unless you pay my bills or warm my bed, your opinion is none of my business. My decisions will not be made with your (the collective "you") thoughts or feelings in mind. "How would it look if I went after this thing I really want? What would people think?" are not questions that go through my mind. My happiness, my joy, everything I have that makes my life worth living, are my responsibility. No one else's. At the end of the day, no one really cares as long as your happiness doesn't take from theirs, and that is a whole different topic I will save for another rant.
